I do consider Z-mount as a con as I have established F-mount lenses. I tend towards macro, landscape, & astro. I don't do much video and don't see that changing much. I'm looking primarily at the D780, D850, & the Z6 II. I really enjoy macro so I think the focus stacking on some of the bodies would be a real benefit. ![]() However, for some of my photos, I would like a full-frame camera. It's a great camera and have very few complaints. I've been enjoying my D500 for a number of years now. Thanks for the quick responses and help.Sorry to make another "what should I buy thread" but I could really use some help. Next step is using a WU-1b on my Nikon D600 with the Nikon 70-180mm zoom macro lens that I use a lot. I was just lucky to try the network camera route, then both showed up. I upped my rating to 4 stars - just need to make the wifi connection aspect of this app a bit more intuitive and easier. Resulting images processed nicely in Affinity Photo. I was using a Nikon macro 105mm with 36mm Kenko extension tube and it figured out the DOF and number of steps. Once it did - it controls the camera nicely. It was only after I tried to add an network camera (ip of the Nikon D7200) that it would show up as a choice along with the network camera. OK - switched to my Samsung Tab 2 and tried again. could not find guide to what may be wrong or why. #Helicon remote d5100 will not fucus androidEnabled the D7200 wifi, connected the Android phone - Moto G6 to the D7200 and the app does not recognize the camera automatically. #Helicon remote d5100 will not fucus licenseA license can be purchased from or via menu/Register button from within Helicon Remote.Ĭould not get it to work with my Nikon D7200.
